Cyberoam Announces New Features To Maximize Security, Compliance And Productivity Benefits Of Its Unified Threat Management Solutions
Cyberoam’s Unique Identity-Based UTM Solutions Now Include Always ON VPN Connectivity, CIPA Compliance Templates and Increased IM Protocol Control

Newburyport, MA, May 8, 2007

Cyberoam, a division of Elitecore, today announces notable enhancements to its innovative identity-based Unified Threat Management (UTM) solutions, including “Always ON” VPN connectivity for IPSec Road Warrior and L2TP connections, Child Internet Protection Act (CIPA) compliance policy templates, and increased control over Instant Messaging (IM) protocols. Together, these advanced features enable enterprises to not only maximize their security strategy, but increase business productivity and mobility without draining IT and financial resources.

Cyberoam’s identity-based solutions provide a complete range of security features, including identity-based firewall, VPN, gateway antivirus, gateway anti-spam, intrusion prevention system, content filtering, as well as bandwidth management and multiple link management – all over a single platform. Coupled with these latest enhancements, Cyberoam’s solutions address enterprise-market demands to protect dynamic networks against known and emerging internal and external threats, without having to concentrate increased capital and operating expenses on single end-point solutions.

“Cyberoam’s identity-based appliances provide a practical solution for a broad range of organizations – from schools looking to meet CIPA compliance to the emerging small-to-medium enterprises striving to meet a host of security challenges,” said Frank Cieri, President of Micros Northeast. “After more than 20 years of experience in the reseller industry, I can attest that Cyberoam’s unique ability to control individual user activity on the network provides my customers with what they need to keep both their networks and their bottom line secure.”

Customers deploying Cyberoam’s unique identity-based UTM solution will now also benefit from:

VPN Failover – Cyberoam now provides “Always ON” VPN connectivity for IPSec Road Warrior and L2TP connections. Cyberoam’s automatic and transparent failover offers continuous connectivity without manual intervention after the connection is dropped. Business continuity is critical to small and medium enterprises as much as it is for large enterprises, so “Always ON” VPN provides organizations with reliable, 24x7 access to corporate resources via Net-to-Net and Host-to-Host applications to increase productivity and boost the bottom line. Cyberoam Road Warrior Client will also provide a gateway feature that allows telecommuters to have seamless and continuous connectivity to the corporate network – no matter where they are.

CIPA Compliance Policy Templates
– Cyberoam’s content filtering functionality now provides default Internet security policy settings in accordance with the U.S. government CIPA regulation that requires schools and libraries to block harmful online content from minors. Cyberoam’s pre-defined CIPA policy template enables IT administrators to simply activate policies from the Cyberoam Dashboard, freeing up both time and IT resources. Cyberoam is also introducing CIPA-specific reports that map directly to the mandate’s monitoring and control provisions, an important constituent for achieving 100 percent CIPA compliance for E-Rate funding.

Increased IM Protocol Control
– Cyberoam now has the ability to control IM applications such as Skype, Windows Live Messenger and Rediffbol. This additional level of filtering allows Cyberoam customers to better manage the use of IM applications, as well as gain control over IM file transfer capabilities– increasing productivity and decreasing the risk of critical data leakage.

“Organizations of all sizes across broad vertical markets are faced the challenge of addressing increasing security and compliance demands – all while staying within the limits of the IT budget,” says Abhilash Sonwane, VP of Product Management, Cyberoam. “With that in mind, Cyberoam is dedicated to providing our customers and channel partners with innovative integrated solutions that secure even the most dynamic networks, and with these latest enhancements, boost productivity, mobility and compliance.”
